I have a php script that when accessed fires off a blank email to me. This is from bots accessing the file and ignoring robot.txt. Occasionally a bad bot tries to mess with the script and I get an email with some bogus return email and a line of nonsense text. Seems harmless but annoying.
Anybody have any thoughts on using a bot-trap? This one looks handy <http://danielwebb.us/software/bot-trap/>.
