Ok, I accept the way you're using it is correct and better. That the
words 'terrorism' and 'fundamentalism' are getting used so often
together that they're becoming blurred, the way I was using it, is not
just wrong, as you say, it's also damaging.

I'll change what I wrote earlier.

Scrap the word 'fundamentalist', and replace my blurb with:

Yes, the level of thinking that these people are doing only allows them
to see that their own beliefs are the only true beliefs, and they
identify with those beliefs very strongly. So the existence of anyone
who holds different beliefs creates a conflict of ideas. If my beliefs
are the right ones, then the other beliefs must be _wrong_, and those
other people must be _wrong_ (people at this level identify
*themselves* with the beliefs). And we always work to rid the world of
wrong things, so anyone holding the wrong beliefs becomes an enemy.

I missed it?

Google: fundamental terrorist - 109,000 matches.
Google : fundamental islam christian terrorist - 19,700 matches.

So let's see, 20k overlap, so that's 30k for Christians and 20k Islam.
Wonder who the other 50k are?

Google: fundamentalist bush terrorist -christian -islam. - 19,400
matches.

Uh, ok, Bush is 20k.

Which just leaves 30k miscellaneous.

My God the change that would happen if people just practiced "Do not
kill, period." No excuses, no reasons, no loop holes, no arguments.
