Somebody's still in the late-nineties web mindset.  "Apple needs a  
presence in this cool new website!  'Cause it's... popular!  And  
cool!  Whaddya mean, 'business plan'?"

Essentially, what he's described is turning YouTube into the iTunes  
video store, without any discussion of why that would be better for  
Apple than just extending the iTunes music store they already own,  
and with a total disregard for the fact that YouTube is fundamentally  
a streaming site.  Once you allow permanent downloads, the legal  
issues explode, and let's face facts, it's the legal issues, not the  
technical ones, that are holding up the iTunes video store.

The rest of it's just video podcasting, no?
