Is there? I mean, would you pay to upload to or download from it? 

I wonder if YouTube is doing something clever on its backend and it's just a 
showcase for some new streaming technology, which will later be licensed to 
content providers. Or maybe it wants to be an agent for licensing amateur 
content to traditional media companies, but that smells of a brand-
building/mindshare/land grab/blah blah business model of the kind that failed 
to get anywhere in the 90s.
