I guess so. Maybe it's just cultural myopia, that I'm not so  
surprised when I see Iranian, or even Saudi, kids being taught how to  
hate, and being inculcated with a very warped, medieval worldview,  
yet I'm shocked to see it happening here. It certainly saddens me in  
either instance. Whatever the case, it was extremely sad to witness.  
This isn't a little backwater cult, afterall.

I just have to wonder what these kids can possibly contribute to the  
world as they grow older; they are bound to be isolationists,  
paranoids, and hate mongers. It's one thing to know, intellectually,  
these people exist, and obviously to know on some level that it  
starts with them as children, but to watch the passing of the torch  
was painful.

I have never see a more un-Christian bunch of hate filled,  
unenlighted, slovenly cultists who are, ultimately, so close to being  
considered mainstream.

The footage at the end with (just coincidentally) the Rev. Ted  
Haggard is of course priceless.
