	Depends how rich you are. But I certainly found (in my brief 
sojourn in NYC) that if you try to get around without cabbing it 
everywhere, which a lot of people do, its very walky indeed.
	That, and even though the guy I was staying with was a 
software engineer, and paid an amount that would be fairly handsome 
most other places, he could at the time only afford an apartment on 
the 5th floor with no elevator.
