I figure she's safe, for two reasons.  First, the American public can  
only handle one major story at a time, and right now that's  
Congressman Foley and the cover-up of his fondness for the pages[1].   
Second, Condi's been with Bush since before he was President; he's as  
likely to fire her as Rumsfeld, even if she's caught eating babies in  
the White House mess.

[1] "It's not the crime, it's the cover-up" has been a cliche since  
Nixon.  When will politicians learn?  If they'd just thrown Foley to  
the wolves when they had the chance a few years ago, the damage to  
the party would have been far more limited.  I'm not just talking  
Republicans: if Clinton back in the day had just come right out at  
the start, said "yeah, I diddled her, I'm really sorry, my wife hates  
me, please forgive me, let's move on" the political damage to him  
would have been far more limited, too.

Isn't this Damage Control 101?
