Chuck barfed:

>> now. Germany is closer.

Was that on the news, or in a newspaper over there ? 'Cause its up
there with some of the finest shite that you have spurted.

I suspect I know how much Chuck knows about Germany today.

Zilch.

Over here (in Germany of all places), it looks very different.
Germans (like the vast majority of Europeans) are getting more and
more disillusioned with the US with every passing day.

I think what he meant is that the present German chancellor, in an
effort to appease the right wingers that are just waiting for a
chance to shoot her coalition government down and the wing of the
economic advisors who believe that the only sensible economic policy
requires extravagant lickage of the US anus, has spoken in *slightly*
less harsh terms about the various US attrocities and has been less
maverick with the "diplomatic relationship" than her predescesor did/
was. This does not represent Germany as a whole, or the mainstream of
the coalition government, or possibly even Merkel's personal view (we
don't know much about the latter). What we do know is that she
condemns the decision to invade Iraq. She condemns Gaunatnamo. She
disparages also at least some of the human-rights infringing so-
called "security measures" that monkey-brain is trying to force through.

Nevertheless some arse-licking newspaper, or TV network probably
decided that the public would prefer to hear that the German's are
coming round to the "US way off thinking".

Ass. If.

With the exception of Tony Blair and those 'tards still hoping that
they might gain something by licking his arse before his imminent
extinction, there is virtually no sympathy anywhere in Europe for US
policy. The sad truth is, that the US is still perceived as having
the might to bully us with vieled economic threats. Hopefully not for
much longer.
