Does anyone seriously think that anyone gets a degree in "Day  
Laborer"?  And why would it be funny to insult a country and its  
citizens by implying they are all sub-educated?

Not to mention, that in point of fact, there are plenty of illegal  
immigrants in the US with advanced degrees.  Some are here because  
jobs in their fields no longer exist back home.  Some are forced to  
work picking tomatoes because they can't work in computers, for example.

Personally I've know several people with good education and full  
bilingual fluency who come to the US for several months a year so  
that they can get enough money to support their family through the  
rest of the year.

This whole 'illegal immigrant' bullshit is just thinly (very thinly)  
disguised racism.  No one is complaining about the huge numbers of  
white European 'illegals'.  When the INS raids some company they  
aren't looking for Canadians or Irish, they're just looking for Brown  
Skins.

In fact, one friend of mine named Diego is very light skinned.  When  
he bleaches his hair, no one would ever guess he was Hispanic, much  
less a native Mexican.

He was working at a hotel in Santa Fe in the 80's when INS raided  
it.  They rounded up ALL the dark skinned people and hauled them  
off.  Those who were able to prove their citizenship were released,  
but they were STILL hauled off.

They didn't even look twice at Diego because his skin color didn't  
match their litmus strip.

This is NORMAL.
