[Osx-nutters] Dead Pod?

Hi.

I dropped my iPod 40G.  It fell less than a meter onto a carpeted
floor.  Now, it boots to the Apple and then shuts off.  It repeats this
again and again.  It does not show up on my Desktop.
Is it dead?  <gulp>
