I doubt he aver said anything quite so silly, although it's possibly  
he did in a fit of endorphine induced glee, a condition he seemed to  
suffer from to excess.

However, his point always was that they're not REALLY dangerous.  You  
know, not deserving of their reputation.

I think our hind-brain gives a great deal of respect (read, fear) to  
any animal that outlived the dinosaurs.

And they look dangerous....

And if you see one in a movie, it's ALWAYS going to end up with some  
one's hand, or the head-sized ruby AND someone's hand sliding down  
it's gullet.
