Can you characterize the difference you're seeing? Apparent detail
differences? Shadow performance?
I'd guess there are two things at work:
- Scaling differences between your Mac/monitor showing fullscreen video
and your iPod/TV
- Gamma differences creating a visible difference in shadow and midtone
performance
I'd think that'd be as good a film as any to test the system, btw. Apple
does great encoding work on high-value stuff... I usually use Fifth
Element myself :)
