I usually agree with MediaMATTERS but I think they really blew this  
one. Fineman is exactly right. The Dems DO let themselves get beat up  
over the issue or terrorism. They have a pattern of letting the  
Republicans frame the debate, putting up some token resistance for  
awhile, and then folding and giving the republicans exactly  what  
they want. How can anyone not conclude that the republicans are  the  
ones with a plan and the dems are merely obstructionists?

As long as a significant number of Dems are content to play Bush/ 
Cheney Lite, the Republicans are  going to own this issue.
