There is a point at which you make a decision, perhaps
unconsciously, about where you invest your mental energy. There is a
point at which you end up being dismissive because you recognise the
pattern, recognise the speaker, and its just human nature.
The moral of the story of the boy who cried wolf is not to
lie, even though tragedy could also have been prevented if everyone
always listened to the boy and acted every time.
