Not really. Also what you linked actually did not provide what I
asked. which was studies about the middle class. But it is relevant
as the whole pyramid and what they push is skewed to sell food from
specific groups, not what is best for a person really.

Well that is good. But it's not simply about eating less, it's eating
better food. Some foods that seem healthy are actually packed with
calories and don't really help.
The recommend stuff like baked french fires vs. fried. This is
extremely misleading. Same with how they treat cows milk, which
adults don't really need. If you note most of the foods they mention
are high in carbs and sugars still, and this is the replacement. It
is about education, the fact that the fed gov't subsidies this stuff,
and then pushes it as "healthy".
