Nope, I think that's completely accurate.  Like I said, there's  
societal effects at play here, too, and I don't want to minimize  
them, I just don't have anything interesting to say about them.

That said, the societal effects and the biological effects are all  
tied up.  When a McDonald's meal consists of a soda that's loaded  
with HFCS, and a burger that's loaded with salt (so you drink the  
soda fast), slathered with ketchup (HFCS) and slapped between two  
sesame buns (still more HFCS), there's going to be a tendency to buy  
more food.  And, over time, the restaurants are happy to cater to  
that, and you wind up with another positive feedback loop.  That's  
not to say that the biology explains the societal issues, merely that  
I think it plays some role.
