Oh, people are.  That's how the single migration theory has been, for  
all intents and purposes, proven.

Yes, everyone in the world who is not from Africa has a single common  
'eve' about 80,000 years ago.  That is to say, the entire population  
of the world outside of Africa can trace itself back to a single  
common ancestor, and the descendants of those ancestors left Africa  
together, crossing the Red Sea into what is now Yemen.

If you're from Africa, your common ancestor with the rest of the world  
is a different 'eve' about 120,000 years ago.
