ID is a creationist strategy, and is an
attempt to slip the basic tenets of creationism
through in disguise. IDers are creationists, but
that does not mean ID is creationism - in
disguising creationism as ID, they are forced to
give up a few of its tenets and make it pretend
to be science. That pretence does, however,
change the actual theory espoused (and IMO opens
it up to a weakness to more direct scientific
attack).
