Well since Sony owns the Blu Ray format they are, of course going to
push their own format.

The thing in regards to MS. HD-DVD is available as an add-on, which
costs more money, for the xbox 360. The PS3 has capability built-in,
and is not priced beyond a blu-ray player. The consumer is losing out
really in regards to MS' practices. Also this is the only reason
HD-DVD is still even around really. Blu-ray has more content, and
more people using it.
