Yeah, everyone likes the things bought with taxes. They just
don't like paying taxes.
Even Republicans like the things bought with taxes,
especially giant military industrial complexes. They just like
putting off the taxes so someone else can pay them.
I'm always amazed that the Republicans get away with that
'tax and spend Democrats' line. It always sounds like the rejoinder
(well, its better than 'spend and put it on the national credit
card') is too obvious.
OK, so there are some people who don't like taxes. There are
libertarian loons who genuinely believe that, say, they would be
better off if we didn't pay for ambulances, contracted all law
enforcement to private corporations, had competing commercial fire
departments, every major road was a toll road, etc. But you can find
people who don't believe in *anything* if you try hard enough.
